HANA CHOI · PRODUCT DESIGNER

From product direction to UX/UI and working interfaces. I connect human actions with the way technology responds.

HOW I WORK

From product intentto human experience.

A vintage CRT screen with one illuminated path among several options, representing product direction
From research to a clear product direction

Define the direction.

Start with the context, the research, and the constraints. Decide what to build, and why it needs to exist.

From action to signal, from signal to feedback

Connect people and devices.

Wearing, moving, waiting for a signal. Connect physical actions and digital responses into one continuous experience.

From components to a working interface

Make it work.

Carry planning and design through to frontend implementation. Bring interaction states and component rules into working interfaces.

SELECTED WORK / 01—06

Different technologies.Six human experiences.

Medical devices, wearables, operating platforms, product strategy, and experimental research.

WHAT I BRING

Three principles behind the work.

  1. Frame the product

I connect use contexts, research, and product constraints to decisions about what to build.

    Product strategy / Research

  2. Connect physical and digital

Working with hardware and medical data analysis teams, I design how people fit a device, wait for signals, act, and interpret the response.

    Device interaction / Data translation

  3. Carry the idea into code

I carry product planning and interface design through to frontend implementation, connecting interaction states, components, and delivered screens.

Effect of Information Hierarchy Design on User Cognitive Load in Micro-text Environments

Using KakaoTalk notification onboarding messages as stimuli, I ran a 2×2 factorial experiment with 125 participants to test whether information chunking and visual emphasis improve comprehension. Industry Promotion Research 11(3), 251–262.
